Spotswood
Camden Blank SS / 2B / Spotswood, VA / 2026
When you see Camden Blank on the baseball field you see an advanced defender that always seems to make defensive plays look easy and that is what Blank did on Tuesday night. Blank repeatedly made plays throughout the night making it look effortless. He has added noticeable strength to his frame and the foot speed has increased. While Blank didn't pick up any hits on the night, he did have a loud lineout and a couple of walks showing his zone awareness. Blank is one of the most premium defenders in the 2026 class and the offense continues to trend in the right direction. |
Brady Hoover RHP / 3B / Spotswood , VA / 2025
Hoover got the start on Tuesday night but his outing was cut short with a lightning delay that occurred. He threw three innings picking up three strikeouts giving up two runs. Hoover attacked hitters early in the count and worked with pace. The fastball worked up to 87 sitting in the 84-86 range. Hoover showed feel for his curveball and slider getting some swing and miss with both in his outing. While it was not ideal conditions and a short outing due to weather, it was plenty of postive takeaways from Hoover's start. Hoover is an arm to keep an eye on as the spring continues. |
East Rockingham
Alex Jenkins SS / 2B / East Rockingham , VA / 2026
Jenkins was intriguing on Tuesday night. He has fluid actions in the infield getting the start at shortstop and eventually moving over to second. Jenkins showed zone awareness with the ability to use all fields. Jenkins picked up a hit with a line drive single into right. While the foot speed needs to increase, the fundamentals are hard to deny. |
Northside
Camden Spangler SS / RHP / Northside , VA / 2027
Spangler plays a big role for the Vikings as a freshman hitting at the top of the lineup and defending up the middle. He's a solid defender at second with natural hands. Offensively he showed an aggressive approach attacking pitches early in counts. He had no hits on the night but there was promise and intrigue at the plate. As Spangler continues to develop and get stronger he will be someone to keep an eye on. |
Brett Taylor SS / RHP / Northside, VA / 2027
Taylor had a solid showing on Thursday. He got the start at shortstop and showed the ability to make plays with range and plenty of arm strength. He picked up a hit on the night showing some of the physicality in his frame. He has some zone awareness with aggressiveness at the plate. It is a gap to gap approach with strength to all fields especially the pull side. There is upside with Taylor with his switch hitting ability to go along with him on the mound. Definitely a name to circle going forward. |
William Monroe
Parker Hildebrand SS / OF / WILLIAM MONROE HIGH, VA / 2025
Hildebrand got the fireworks rolling early on Friday night where he hit a backside homerun in the bottom of the first to get the offense going. There is above average bat to ball skills with the ability to consistently use the whole field. There is sneaky power in the bat that he has the ability to tap into. Hildebrand is a above average runner and athletic enough to where he has position versatility in the infield as well in the outfield. He has gotten off to a hot start this spring and is an uncommitted bat that is still on the board. |
Broadway
Sy Crider C / 3B / Broadway, VA / 2025
Crider had a solid day for the Gobblers on Friday. He picked up a double into the left centerfield gap in the third inning that got the offense flowing. He shows the ability to use the whole field with strength gap to gap. It is a good strong body with still more room to fill. Crider has continued to add arm strength behind the plate to be a weapon defensively. Crider plays a big role in the middle of that lineup where he will one of the big run contributors this spring. |
Colby Fesler SS / 2B / Broadway, VA / 2027
Fesler was nothing short of impressive on Friday night. The freshman got the start at third and you wouldn't have known he was a freshman by his poise and maturity. He showed fluid actions and arm strength in pregame that translated over into game. He also picked up a couple of hits and a couple of walks on the night as well. He shows an approach with the confidence to hit in two strike counts. It is a good frame with plenty of projection left to go. Fesler will be a name to follow in the future for the Gobblers. |
Bransen Hensley SS / RHP / Broadway, VA / 2024
Hensley is the veteran table setter at the top of the Broadway lineup and he thrived in that role of Friday night. He constantly put pressure on the defense and showed bat to ball skills. He showed good situational hitting with a hard hit ball for a sacrifice fly. He also picked up a single and a couple of stolen bases on the night. He gets the offense started for Broadway and as he goes the offense flows. |
Jackson Plogger CF / LHP / Broadway, VA / 2027
Plogger had the loud hit on the night with a three run home to dead center to break things open for Broadway. It is a quiet balanced setup with minimal movement. He keeps a short barrel path working gap to gap. There is evident strength in the frame with athleticism. He is a above average runner that can impact the game on both sides of the baseball. Plogger was impressive at the top of the lineup and he will be a name to follow this spring heading on to the summer. |
Cristian Rivera SS / 2B / Broadway , VA / 2025
Rivera may have had some of the most impressive at bats for me on the night for Broadway. Rivera has good rhythm at the plate with a patient approach that shows his zone awareness. Rivera had a two hit night using the big part of the field with line drive tendencies. He also picked up two walks on the night not chasing pitches out of the zone. Rivera's approach and eye for the zone gives him a chance for success each time he steps to the plate. |
St. Anne's-Belfield
Alex Bingler LHP / OF / St Anne's Belfield, VA / 2024
Bingler came in for relief on Saturday and was nothing short of dominant. He threw four shutout innings picking up ten strikeouts in the combined no hitter. He commanded the zone with three pitches getting whiffs with all three. The fastball was 86-89 with arm side run that he could put anywhere in the zone when he wanted. He showed feel for his curveball and slider using both early in counts as well as put away pitches. Bingler showed the pitch ability and the stuff that will give him success at the next level. |
Brooks Fox C / OF / St Annes-Belfield , VA / 2026
Fox had a big hit on Saturday that continued a rally for the offense. Brooks was aggressive and got the barrel to a pitch up in the zone for a line drive into right for a two run single. Fox has added some noticeable strength to his frame that impacts his game on the offensive side. Fox also showed well defensively behind the plate showing his framing skills and the ability to block pitches in the dirt. Fox will be a key piece for the Saints for the rest of the spring. |
Oscar Hickey CF / RHP / St. Anne's-Belfield, VA / 2026
Hickey got the start in the combined no hitter and he threw two shutout innings picking up three strikeouts. The fastball command was a bit scattered at 81-84, but the slider was dialed in that got some whiffs to get out of innings. It was a light day offensively for the two way standout but Hickey has the chance to impact the game whether if it is on the mound or at the plate. He is a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop. |
Will Yow SS / RHP / St. Anne's-Belfield , VA / 2026
Yow was impressive immediately in his first at bat when he had a loud lineout to left field. He would go on to pick up a hit later in the game that would bring in a couple of runs. Yow impacts the game in many different ways. He can defend at shortstop having fluid actions and arm strength to make plays. He also can impact the game with his above average speed. He had the chance to show that each time running down the line or when he would swipe a bag. Yow has tools that you can't teach that gives him a chance to impact the game every day. Yow has plenty of room to add strength to his lanky frame. As he continues to do that, Yow will be a name to watch the rest of the spring heading into the summer. |
