Job DescriptionThe Foreman will coordinate and lead a team employees and subcontractors to execute a project scope of work. This position requires knowledge in the requisite area of expertise with knowledge of standard industry practices for performing work. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions and adhere to construction industry safety standards closely. Employee shall be capable of working without oversight, yet willing to follow directions and closely adhere to construction safety standards. The position is located indoors and outdoors and the Foreman will be expected to lead work under all types of weather conditions. Foreman will regularly interact with customers, other craft trades, inspectors, managers, stakeholders while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Site Management
Organize, coordinate and schedule; mobilizations, material deliveries, logistics for receiving materials, executing work, consultants, subcontractors, employees, stakeholders and outside constraints
Perform duties harmoniously with other operations on the construction site
Responsible for creating and maintaining an organized and safe work environment
Ability to read contract documents, blueprints, diagrams, design documents, work instructions, site specific rules & regulations
Capable of being entrusted with company assets, government equipment, and confidential information and materials.
Willingness to supervise and train on the proper use and operation of equipment, hand tools, power tools, rigging, test equipment, and materials
Works with Construction Manager to accurately track and report materials used, hours work is performed, tasks, outcomes, and equipment usage
Supports receiving material and equipment at the job site with accurate documentation and reporting
Ability to be flexible and work for extended periods of time, overtime, on weekends, holidays, and overnight as required by the business and contract
Directs and manages work tasks as provided by; Construction Manager, Project Manager, Field Engineer
Assigns and directs field teams (general labor, tower technicians, electricians, operators, civil craft and field service representatives)
Inspects and monitors quality of work product
Travel as may be required for the project and based on business needs
Safety
Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program
Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections
Operate equipment within federal, state, local, and company regulations
Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself or endanger the wellbeing of others
Cooperate with safety personnel, supervisors, and managers to ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Policies
Teamwork
Works closely with the Program Manager, Project Manager, Construction Managers, Field Service Representatives, Security, Quality, Human Resources, and Customer Representatives in a collaborative environment
Participate in planning as a vital crew member and contribute towards the success of the project and the organization
Promote a team approach and maintain communications with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas
Collaborate as a team to meet organizational deadlines, outcomes, and mission objectives
Provide feedback on efficiencies and performance of Team during reviews
Reporting
Perform reporting requirements per contract and corporate policies for performance, safety, personnel, equipment, and risks, as required
Provide daily production data to supervisor, as requested
Perform acurate timecard updates daily and sign timecards weekly to support reporting and payroll activities and assist the Team in completing these tasks
Education
High School or GED Required
Construction related training or educational courses
Experience
Minimum five (5) years of related construction experience
Demonstrate experience working on large construction projects with multiple disciplines/ trades and the planning & coordination involved
Demonstrate understanding of daily reports, scope of work, look ahead schedules, and timesheets
Familiar with the ITL SAFETY MANUAL and how to search for information within (required within 3 months)
Familiarity with operating heavy equipment (skid steer, excavator, drill rig, hoist, crane, reach fork, backhoe, compaction equipment, etc.), tower climbing, rigging, or job specific skill area
Familiarity with leadership expectations and mentoring
Licenses/ Certification/ Registration
Current government issued driver’s license
Certification for CPR/First Aid
OSHA 30 or higher
EM385-1-1 (for government projects), preferred
Journeyman certification from a recognized national organization/ entity or state journeyman license, is preferred
If required, complete a DOT medical physical prior to operating company vehicles on public Right-of-waysCurrent and unencumbered driver’s license
