Slow cooker pork tenderloin is one of the best things you can cook. It is such a very versatile dish. All you have to do is change the ingredients in the marinade, rub, or sauce and you will have a very different meal each time.

You can make barbecue pulled pork for example, and this in itself has several variations depending on the sauce you use.
You can make it with a tomato-based sauce and Italian spices for Pork Ragu, or you can make our recipe.
The combination of garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and honey make for such a delicious sauce.
It is so amazing that just a little change in the way you use them can take you from a southern flavor if using powdered ginger and garlic, to a more Asian profile if you use chopped garlic and freshly grated ginger.

Pork Tenderloin Vs. Pork Loin
It is really up to you. Pork tenderloin is always going to be a more tender cut of meat, but since we are slow cooking it, it really makes no difference if you use pork loin.
That is the beauty of the slow cooker. It makes all cuts of meat tender after all those hours of cooking.
How To Make Crockpot Pork Tenderloin?
- Season the pork tenderloin with salt, pepper, and dried thyme
- Heat the oil in a large skillet and brown the tenderloin on all sides
- Put the browned tenderloin into the crockpot and add all other ingredients, except the cornstarch. Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8.
- Take the tenderloin out of the crockpot and shred using two forks
To make the gravy, strain any juices left in the crockpot and place them in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer, reserving about ¼ cup. To the ¼ cup, add the cornstarch and stir until dissolved
Add sauce/cornstarch slurry to the simmering sauce and cook until thickened. Serve shredded tenderloin with gravy.
How Long To Cook Pork Tenderloin In The Crockpot?
For me, this rule has worked wonders: 8 hours if you cook it on low, or 4 hours if you cook it on high. Always check on your meat 30 minutes before it is due, sometimes that may be enough depending on the size of the cut.
What To Serve With Crockpot Pork Tenderloin?
- If you decide to use powdered garlic and ginger, you can serve it with mashed potatoes or with rice.
- If you use minced garlic and freshly grated ginger, I like to serve it over white rice or use it as stuffing for bao buns, or Asian sandwiches.
- Always include some veggies on the plate to make this a complete meal. Creamed corn would go well with the southern style and broccoli goes perfectly with the Asian style. Check out our recipes for homemade rice pilaf and creamy vegan mashed potatoes as side dishes too.
How To Store Crockpot Pork Tenderloin?
This is what I most love about this recipe. It freezes wonderfully.
You can cook it, shred it, cool it, and store it in a freezer bag in the freezer for up to three months, or you can store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.
If you are freezing it, always remember to mark the date when you made it, so you know how long it has been stored.
